It was built of brick by contractors N. Butkovsky, Sh. Skidelsky and A.Prekhner in 1863-1867. 6,991 roubles and 69 copecks were allocated for its construction. It is an architectural monument of retrospective Russian style.
Near the highway Baranovichi-Novogrudok, on the bank of the Servech river, rises a hill of elongated shape which can’t be perceived as natural. Here, on the territory of the annalistic Lithuania, lies an ancient setlement site of the Iron age. Now it is an archeological monument of early feudalism, of linear pottery culture.
The building of INTEX TV studio that is at 65, Komsomolsksaya Str., is unique in several respects. In the first place, it is one of the 3 houses that have remained intact in Baranovichi built in functional style which was popular in the 1920s-1930s. Secondly, immediately after it had been commissioned, this building housed one of the most up-to-date radio stations of the so-called Second Rzeczpospolita (Republic of Poland).
Stolovichy, a former rural settlement, has been known since the 15th century. From 1736, for a long time, in the central square of the present-day village there stood St. John the Baptist Catholic Church built of stone, which was a real adornment of the place. The church belonged to the Order of the Knights of St. John. In1879, the church was reconsecrated into Holy Dormition Orthodox Church.
Kroshin is an old Belarusian settlement, whose Catholic church has always been a centre of culture and enlightenment, which at different times was run by really highly educated priests.
