The memorial chapel on the site of the Battle of Milavidy fought between C. Kalinousky rebels and tsarist troops on May 22nd, 1863, was erected in 1930-1933 and stands 1.5 km from the village of Milavidy, on the Brest highway.
On August 1, 1914, World War I broke out. And already during the first year of the war, Baranovichi began to attract the attention of those who were following the developments of the military operations.
In the middle of the village of Stalovichy, near the former Catholic church, there is a memorial sign - a boulder laid in honour of the battle fought in September 1771 between the Confederates headed by hetman Michał Ogiński and the Russian troops led by Alexander Suvorov.
To the south of the village of Staraya Mysh, on the bank of the Myshanka River, there is a medieval castle site. There are remains of once most powerful medieval castle of our country.
In the vicinity of the villages of Arabovshchina, Koldychevo and Staryie Voikovichy any traveller won’t miss the unique concrete works – the bunkers of the fortified area “Verkhniaya Shchara” which arose there to the west of the Soviet-Polish border in the early 20th century.
